It has been a week since I decided to raise up the boost with my NEW SI TRANNY and well, as someone said to me in the past "JESUS FUCKING CHRIST", it pull like crazy. At 14 psi, I could handle 750cc motor bicycles, now I can handle the 1100cc ones. My timing is still set at 16 degree and my BTM is set at .25 retard per pound of boost.
And I know that there's still a lot of HP lost cause I have to time my cam in relation with the crank with a degree wheel and that my fuel mixture isn't probably right with some others thing, I should hit the dyno in a week or two to fix these issues, I'll let you know.

Not to flame or anything, but it is hard for me to believe you could "handle" a 750cc GSX-R or any newer 750cc bike, much less an 1100cc one. Have you lined up against an 1100ccXX Blackbird lately? You may be speaking of older bikes and maybe not even sport bikes at all. If so, my apologies. I just have a great deal of respect for modern day sport bikes.

Well I have to say that I'm a bit clueless when it come to bikes but I've never said that I could handle all of them. The 750cc I followed up to 140mph wasn't a new model. The ones that I think was 1100cc (ZR something) were two, one passed me really fast, said to myself what the heck and I floored it. His friend has never been able to overtake me until I slowed down to 60mph, he went by my side, looked at me and left on the rear wheel. We reach each other at a red light and one of them turned over and said "Geez, your civic is quite fast" I said "Yeah, I have over 300hp" and he replied "No doubt". I should have ask what kind of bike it was but they were brand new, that I could tell. Maybe you could tell me more about these bikes, if you can with this little info.

It is really hard to tell. Just like with any vehicle the driver makes the difference. Even the little 600cc Honda CBR runs the 1/4 in the 10's (10.6 I believe) but you really have to pound it and not be afraid to do that.
To put it in perspective, many on these newer sport bikes are putting as much or more to their rear wheel than our lowly civics and integras. Oh yeah, and these bikes weigh an average of 450 lbs, instead of 2500 lbs!!!

remember every 4lbs of boost is equivalent to one compression point, the limits of 94 octane depending on additives etc. is about 13.2:1 (bottom limit). operating temps/ignition/amount of fuel also play a role so this is a rule of thumb. if you dont want to pay for mark 5, atleast dump alot of fuel in.

Heh, heh... Follow Civic TSI's homepage link.
He's got 8 injectors on a custom manifold. I think he has the situation covered!

rtype11,
I don't think effective compression ratio is anywhere near that simple to calculate.

One of the guys here in Austin took a Hayabusa(sp?) on the freeway...of course he has a HKS Twin turbo Supra putting 500something whp to the wheels on pump gas and 700something whp with race gas(yes, has local dynos)...25psi on the big HKS turbos...don't remember which he was running at the time, but I'd guess the latter in order to do that on the freeway...

Yoohoo ! I've just meet a guy who can reprogram our ECU this w-e. He's going to remove my rev-limiter and alter my fuel curve to remove the hesitation at very low RPM cause by the larger intake I have. Maybe some of you remember a red Mazda MX3, 4 cyl with 500+ hp to the wheels in Turbo Mag, that's him. He has his own custom EFI.
So I'm going to rely on the MSD for my cut-off, do you think it's a good idea ? On the down side, I've broke a motor mount. Anybody knows if we can get the 2 lower mounts in protane ?
